Cameras in football

Cameras in football have been used since the 20th century when the sport of football became a spectator sport. When spectatorism increased and more people became interested in the sport and began to support different teams football matches were broadcasted live on television this is because people could not afford to travel all the way to the stadiums and pay for tickets.. The first football match that was broadcasted live was played in 1936 and it was televised in 1937 the match was between Arsenal and reserves.

Supporters and fans of different teams have argued that new and more advanced technology such as video playback should be introduced within the sport of modern football this is because current errors  have been made by referees such as denied goals, false accusations of fouling and incorrectly given red and yellow cards

Newer and more advanced technology such as video playback enables the sport officials to rewind and take a closer look at what may and may not have happened and therefore providing a more accurate set of results. Also this would mean that with these new types of advanced camera technology football would become more stable and the amount of mistakes that were made compared to football in the 19th and 20th century would be reduced because more advanced types of cameras  that could pick out mistakes and errors that officials and referees could miss out.

I think that the cameras that are used in modern day football are suitable for their job because with newer and more advanced kinds of  cameras they are able to produce better image showing the game clearer to the spectators who watch the football matches on their television at home.
Also is shows off the newer technology because of its ability to enhance the visibility of the game and it is able to pick out any errors that might occur within the game although this is mainly carried out by other technology.
